{"id":742,"date":"2016-06-11T12:04:37","date_gmt":"2016-06-11T10:04:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rocworks.at\/wordpress\/?p=742"},"modified":"2016-06-15T08:44:01","modified_gmt":"2016-06-15T06:44:01","slug":"iot-with-wincc-oa-and-raspberry-pi-demo-at-cern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rocworks.at\/wordpress\/?p=742","title":{"rendered":"IoT with WinCC OA and Raspberry Pi (Demo at Cern)&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had the opportunity\u00a0to demonstrate an IoT prototype based on WinCC OA on\u00a0a Raspberry Pi at Cern.<\/p>\n<p>WinCC OA is running on the Raspberry Pi and it is sending values of a temperature sensor to my WinCC OA server at home over <strong>MQTT<\/strong>\u00a0(Thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hivemq.com\/try-out\/\">HiveMQ<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>In that case just a\u00a0simple average calculation is done with WinCC OA on the Raspberry, but many other things can be done with WinCC OA on the Raspberry &#8211; <strong>Edge Computing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally the server can send an action to the Raspberry to turn on\/off a simple LED on the Raspberry.
